ALMS Community Health Center Expands Mental Health Services
S For Story/10696342
New comprehensive mental health program will provide in-person and telehealth care for individuals and families throughout Mansfield and the Dallas–Fort Worth area.
MANSFIELD, Texas - s4story -- ALMS Community Health Center is expanding access to comprehensive mental health services designed to help individuals and families address emotional, behavioral and psychological challenges through compassionate, patient-centered care. As the organization prepares to open its new Mansfield location, the mental health program will offer both in-person and telehealth appointments, making quality behavioral healthcare more accessible across the Dallas–Fort Worth region.
Mental health plays a vital role in overall health and wellness. Anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, chronic illness and family challenges can affect every aspect of a person's life, including physical health, relationships, work performance and quality of life. ALMS Community Health Center believes mental healthcare should be integrated into the overall healthcare experience rather than treated as a separate service.

The Mental Health Services program will provide support for a wide range of patient needs, including anxiety and stress management, mood disorders, trauma and grief support, behavioral health concerns, chronic illness support and family and relationship challenges. Services are designed to help patients develop healthy coping strategies, improve emotional well-being and build long-term resilience through individualized care.
"Mental health is an essential part of whole-person healthcare," said Dr. Samantha Mitchell, DNP, MSN, APRN, AGPCNP-BC,
Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Specializing in Psychiatric Evaluation, Medication Management, Behavioral Health and Telehealth Servicesr. "By expanding access to both in-person and telehealth mental health services, we hope to make it easier for patients to receive timely, compassionate care while reducing barriers that often prevent individuals from seeking help."
Anxiety and stress have become increasingly common across all age groups, while depression, grief and other behavioral health concerns continue to affect millions of Americans each year. Early evaluation and intervention can help individuals better manage symptoms, improve daily functioning and enhance overall quality of life. The ALMS Community Health Center team is committed to creating a supportive environment where patients feel comfortable discussing their concerns and working toward meaningful health goals.

The clinic's integrated approach also recognizes the close relationship between mental and physical health. Individuals living with chronic illnesses frequently experience increased emotional stress, while untreated mental health conditions can affect chronic disease management, preventive care, medication adherence and overall wellness. By coordinating mental health services with primary care, chronic disease management and other healthcare services, ALMS Community Health Center aims to provide comprehensive care that addresses the needs of the whole person.
Mental health services will be available through both traditional office visits and secure telehealth appointments, providing greater flexibility for patients.
