S For Story/10695550
Jude Lobe will be exhibiting new works of art with Mark Kinsella and Jason Smith that intends to lift us from the turmoil and stress in our world to have a moment to enjoy the simple and beautiful things in life.

HILLSBOROUGH, N.C. - s4story -- The three featured Artists in the show, Embracing Tranquility, Mark Kinsella, Jason Smith and Jude Lobe, came up with the title because they felt there is so much unrest and turmoil in our world filling our lives with stress at present, that tranquility was in order. Luckily, the state of calmness and inner peace is in our control. And hopefully, viewing these artworks will help the viewer to feel calm and peaceful.

Within the walls of her studio, Lobe says she is secluded with objects and art paraphernalia, like kilns, canvases, paints, clay, glazes, found objects and more  that call out for her attention. "I have photographs from trips I have taken in 2025 that help me recall the joy I felt when traveling through nature's beautiful places we visited. They keep me centered on the gifts given us and inspire me."

Lobe's artworks in the show include totems. The totems recall the Native Americans' philosophy of man being a part of nature. There are also totems inspired by nature. One is River Walk, a collaboration between Lobe and glass artist Mark Kinsella. The totem is created with fused glass pieces designed to emulate a walk along a river bank. There are also Cold Wax & Oil abstract paintings of landscapes.  "I hope the non-representative landscape paintings take the viewer to places they felt quiet and reflective."  Lobe also has enamels that are tranquil reflections that remind her of the things in nature that bring her joy.

Mark Kinsella will have new fused glass works that echo the things we find in nature. Bowl, plates and other glass pieces will be on display as will his new wall installations which will dazzle. As to Jason Smith's work in the show, Jason states, "My intention as a metal sculptor is to create works of art that challenge the boundaries of traditional sculpting techniques. With a passion for working with metal, I transform this raw material into pieces that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also thought provoking."
