Antonina Minova Releases "Between Blue and Violet" Abstract Photography Artwork
S For Story/10686722
Limited edition fine art print explores colour contrast and motion through intentional camera movement.
LONDON - s4story -- London, UK — Antonina Minova, an independent fine art photographer, announces the release of a new limited edition abstract photography artwork titled Between Blue and Violet. The piece continues the artist's exploration of intentional camera movement (ICM), a photographic technique that transforms urban scenes into painterly abstractions of light, motion, and colour.
The photograph presents a city skyline rendered through vertical motion, dissolving rigid architecture into fluid lines of colour. Cyan tones appear across one side of the composition, while violet hues dominate the opposite side. Between them, blue forms a subtle visual bridge that connects the contrasting colour fields.
In the artwork, the skyline becomes less a literal depiction of the city and more a visual study of atmosphere and movement. Buildings stretch into elongated forms, creating the impression of rising columns of colour rather than fixed structures. Through this transformation, the urban landscape is interpreted as a dynamic environment shaped by light, rhythm, and shifting perspective.

Colour plays a central role in the composition. Cyan introduces a cooler visual tone that echoes the ordered geometry of older architectural forms. Violet, by contrast, brings a more atmospheric presence to the scene, casting the skyline in a luminous and almost ethereal light. Blue occupies the transitional space between these tones, visually linking the two areas of the image while maintaining the sense of balance within the composition.
The photograph was created using intentional camera movement during exposure, a technique that allows the camera to move vertically while capturing the scene. This controlled motion converts architectural edges into flowing lines and soft gradients, transforming the city into a layered abstract environment. The addition of subtle grain and texture reinforces the tactile quality of the image while maintaining photographic depth.
Between Blue and Violet is released as a limited edition fine art print produced as a museum-quality giclée on premium fine art paper. Each print is part of a strictly limited edition and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
