Author and Artist Releases Adorable Farm-Themed Children's Book
S For Story/10673231
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - s4story -- Jan-Carol Publishing, Inc., of Johnson City, Tennessee, is thrilled to announce the release of Merry Mary and the Strawberry Surprises: Fun on the Farm Adventures, written and illustrated by Denise Frances DiJoseph.
Denise Frances DiJoseph is an artist/author residing in East Tennessee. She grew up in Pennsylvania where she helped her aunt and uncle on their dairy farm. Denise earned a BFA in Studio Arts/Art History and a post-grad certificate from Children's Institute of Literature. She is a member of Lost State Writer's Guild and SCBWI; Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators. Readers can find more about the author at TinCanKidsBookClub.com or on Facebook: Tin Can Kids Book Club.
In Merry Mary and the Strawberry Surprises, Betsy always wins first-place ribbons at the farm show for her yummy strawberry jam. Her older brother, Mikey, tries hard but never wins at anything. She has an idea to help him win, and nobody, not even cousin Katie-Lou, knows about her plan. Will Mikey and his Red & White cow, Merry Mary, win their first Junior Division banner at the Country Air County Fair with Betsy's help?
More on S For Story
When asked about the inspiration behind her book, DiJoseph shared, "I was in my art studio painting a cow to be included in a farm animal oil painting series. Each time I sat at my easel to paint her, she'd tell me more about her story living on a dairy farm."
Merry Mary and the Strawberry Surprises is perfect for readers 6–10 years old. The book is available on Amazon, Barnes&Noble.com, and through Jan-Carol Publishing, Inc., https://jancarolpublishing.square.site/s/order.
Jan-Carol Publishing, Inc. includes various imprints, each specializing in a particular genre—from Appalachian stories to children's books and more. At JCP, we believe 'every story needs a book.' For more information, call Jan-Carol Publishing, Inc., at 423.926.9983, or visit jancarolpublishing.com.
