The far greater question, though, from the moment that Harris stepped in to replace President Biden as the 2024 Democratic presidential standard bearer, was what were her policies, politics, and how would they transfer to a Harris presidency?

Harris added her own tiny element of mystery about her governance once in the Oval Office in a 2019 interview with the New York Times, ""Policy has to be relevant, "That's my guiding principle: Is it relevant? Not, 'Is it a beautiful sonnet?'"
