Award-Winning Author Publishes Covid-19 Lessons From A Dog!

Author Marian L. Thomas will be debuting her new children's book in December with a focus on life lessons and strategies during the COVID-19 pandemic.
LOS ANGELES - s4story -- "Things Sasha Learned From Her Dog Winston During the Pandemic" is the heart-warming book from award-winning author Marian L. Thomas. Set to debut in December, the book will be readily available for purchase in all virtual bookstores. Inspired by the author's own dog, Winston, who passed at fourteen years of age, the author uses the point of view of a dog as the main character to teach young children the importance of staying safe while having fun in our new COVID-19 culture.
"My husband and I still talk about Winston. He was such a bright and easy-going part of our family. His personality and the life lessons my husband and I learned simply by watching him is what inspired this book," said Marian L. Thomas. "I thought to myself, if Winston was a role model for children right now, what would he teach about handling this crisis. From there, the inspiration started to flow and the book was developed."
"Things Sasha Learned From Her Dog Winston During the Pandemic" helps children ages 5-10 overcome fears associated with wearing a mask and interacting with other people wearing masks. The book also helps children discover how to still have fun with their friends using virtual learning and the Internet to socialize and also how to prevent COVID-19 with proper handwashing techniques. The author also offers downloadable coloring sheets on her website to accompany the book.

"Sometimes a doctor can be scary to a child. A friendly dog isn't. Kids love animals and using a dog makes some of the subject matter less intimidating and more appealing to learn. I want children to be entertained with the story but to also pick up on the embedded life lessons, too," finished Thomas.
Review copies are available upon request by qualified media outlets. "Things Sasha Learned From Her Dog Winston During the Pandemic" adds to Mrs. Thomas' vast collection of authored books. The author has appeared on OWN, A&E, BET, Fox, as well as other media outlets. Her book, "The Caged Butterfly", won as USA Best Book from USABookNews.com. Her voice, talent and ability to connect audiences to characters is unchallenged.
Interactive virtual events will accompany the debut of "Things Sasha Learned From Her Dog Winston During the Pandemic". Updates on these events, as well as other books from the author and a full media kit, are available at https://www.marianlthomas.com/.
