LEXINGTON, Ky. - s4story -- Anthony Beeler, PBIA & ACS Master Instructor and founder of the first fully online pool school, announced today that he has received word that he is one of only two instructors in the world to earn the distinction of Doctor of Online Instruction through the ACS. The second recipient is Beeler's star online student, Kim Young.

This milestone marks a historic moment in cue sports education and the continued evolution of professional online billiards instruction.

Beeler, commonly known as the "father of online billiards instruction," said the recognition is especially meaningful because of the path that led to it.

In 2011, Beeler launched Beeler's Virtual Billiard Academy, the first fully online pool school, driven by a vision to make high-level billiards instruction accessible to students everywhere. What began as an innovative approach to teaching billiards remotely has since helped shape a new era of instruction for players across the United States and around the world.

"To now be recognized at this level for online instruction is deeply meaningful and truly a full-circle moment," Beeler said.

Beeler also emphasized the significance of seeing one of his own students reach the same level of distinction.

"It is one of the greatest honors an instructor can experience to see a student achieve this level of excellence," Beeler said. "I am especially proud of Kim Young and this outstanding accomplishment."

The recognition not only highlights Beeler's longstanding leadership in digital billiards instruction, but also underscores the growing legitimacy, reach, and impact of online learning in cue sports.
