ROSWELL, N.M. - s4story -- Anthony Beeler, PBIA Master Instructor, ACS Level 4 Master Instructor, and founder of the Virtual Billiard Academy, earned two hard-fought victories in a special exhibition challenge match against Leroy Weimer, widely regarded as one of the top pool players in Roswell, New Mexico.

The exhibition featured a race-to-five format in both 8-Ball and 9-Ball. Beeler captured the opening 8-Ball set by a score of 5-3 before narrowly winning the 9-Ball set 5-4. Because Beeler won the first two sets, the scheduled 10-Ball tiebreaker was not necessary.

"Any time you compete against a player of Leroy's caliber, you know you're going to be tested," said Beeler. "Leroy played extremely well, and I was fortunate to come out on top in two very competitive sets."

The exhibition was hosted in Roswell and attracted a strong crowd of local billiards enthusiasts. The event highlighted both competitive play and the camaraderie that makes the game of pool special.

Beeler expressed his appreciation to everyone involved in making the event a success.

"I want to thank Leroy Weimer for accepting the challenge and putting on a great match," Beeler said. "I also want to thank Dr. Steven Black and everyone who came out to support the exhibition. The crowd was fantastic, and we had a great time."

The event was part of Beeler's instructional visit to Roswell, where he worked with local players through private lessons and advanced training sessions.

Beeler also recognized the companies that continue to support his teaching and competitive efforts.

"Special thanks go to Diamond Billiard Products and McDermott Cue for their continued support," Beeler said. "Their commitment to the sport and to players like me makes opportunities like this possible."

With the exhibition complete, Beeler leaves Roswell with fond memories of the community and its passionate pool players.
