by Tracey DeLellis Opens a multi-sensory experience at The Studios of Key West
KEY WEST, Fla. - s4story -- Beneath the Surface: New Sculptural Exhibition by Tracey DeLellis Opens April 2 at The Studios of Key West
KEY WEST, FL — Local artist and educator Tracey DeLellis will debut a new body of work, Beneath the Surface, opening April 2 at The Studios of Key West. The exhibition presents an immersive collection of sculptural works inspired by the natural forces and textures of the Florida Keys.
Drawing from coral formations, shells, erosion patterns, and ocean-worn surfaces, Beneath the Surface explores the parallel between the evolving island landscape and the human experience of change, resilience, and transformation.
"Living on an island reminds you that change is constant," said DeLellis. "The ocean reshapes the land over time, just like our experiences reshape us."

The exhibition features works created from ceramic, glass, resin, and light, guiding viewers through four conceptual stages: Erode, Scar, Heal, and Glow. Together, these phases reflect a progression from disruption to renewal, suggesting that even damage and hardship can lead to growth and strength.
A highlight of the exhibition is a collaborative installation created with DeLellis's son, combining original music with responsive light and sculptural elements to create a fully immersive, multi-sensory experience.
DeLellis is a ceramic artist and instructor who teaches locally at ClaySpace. Her work is featured in Guild Hall Gallery and Salt Island Provisions Gallery. She works between Key West and Pennsylvania.
Beneath the Surface offers audiences an opportunity to engage with work that reflects both the physical environment of the Keys and the deeper emotional landscapes shaped by time and experience.

Opening Date: April 2
Location: The Studios of Key West
