This historic rain event caused roads to collapse, washed-out culverts, caused stormwater failures, and widespread property damage across parts of Mount Dora, Eustis, Tavares, and surrounding areas. "Many homeowners believe their home policy automatically covers flood damage," says agency owner Andrew Beucher. "It does not. Rising water from outside sources, such as stormwater runoff, street flooding, drainage overflow, or an overwhelmed retention pond, requires a separate flood policy."
