Birch Tree Publishing Interviews Sumner Wilson
S For Story/10704963
WEST MIDLANDS, U.K. - s4story -- Today, Feathered Birch Tree reviewer Robert is talking with S.E. Wilson, author of Spiders Attack: (A Minecrafter's Adventure Story Book 1).
BT: This is book one in your Minecrafter Dun Scutus series. It is rather unique storyline not only with its cast of monsters, skeletons and a wizard that's a blacksmith. Can you explain where you derived the inspiration behind this series?
S.E. WILSON: I was inspired to write these stories from extensive reading of the work of Minecraft writers who came before me. I love to write in new genres.
BT: Your background is in the railway business. What prompted you to make the shift to writing novels?
S.E WILSON: I was inspired to write full-time after I retired from the RR.
BT: To date, you have published westerns, and a three-part series of the famous The Wind in the Willows sequels. Can you explain how the process was for you when you realized that your book(s) were impactful, and how has this changed your professional life?
More on S For Story
S.E. WILSON: My publisher, Marlon Birch, asked me to try writing for him. I found he was a great publisher and I jumped right in.
BT: Having written in different genres of books, are you able to claim one as your favorite, either based on the story itself, or how it was to write for you?
S.E. WILSON: I really have no favorites. If I become enthused about a tale it is great and will carry me on through to the end. I do have a favorite book though, it is A House of Men published by Five Star a part of Cengage.
BT: Books two and three in the Willows series, Ratty and Moley Run Through the Jungle, and Ratty and Moley To the Ends of the Earth and Beyond, was released in 2024. What can you share with your readers about the adventures you have in store for Ratty and Moley and his friends in this story?
S.E. WILSON: I have an Easter tale starring Ratty & Moley. I really enjoyed writing it. I hope it will come out for Easter.
BT: What advice can you give to a young reader of yours who is interested in one day writing and publishing a book?
S.E. WILSON: Young writers (or beginning writers in general) must have a love for reading. Read first. Write later
