Bosco Tech to Host Free College Fair on Oct. 13

More Than 80 Colleges & Universities From Across the U.S. Will Be Represented
ROSEMEAD, Calif. - s4story -- Don Bosco Technical Institute (Bosco Tech) Don Bosco Technical Institute will host its annual college fair for high school students and their parents on Thursday, October 13, from 6 to 8 p.m. The event, which is free and open to all local families, will feature representatives from over 80 colleges and universities.
"After a two-year hiatus due to Covid, we are very excited to bring back our in-person college fair," said Christine Gambill, Bosco Tech's Director of Counseling. "In addition to a wide variety of schools from across the country, we will also be hosting some wonderful community organizations and vendors. We're confident it will be a great event for our Bosco families and the surrounding community."
While exploring their college options, guests can take advantage of food trucks on site, including StopBye Cafe's Indonesian fusion, the LA Taco Guys, and The Latin Truck, who will be serving up pupusas and other Salvadorian delights. Those with a sweet tooth will have options ranging from Wildflower Honey Coffee to cheesecake, baked goods, kettle corn and churros.

The LA County Registrar will be on-site to register voters, and attendees can also stop by booths hosted by the LA County Library, LA County Fire Department, and the Rosemead Chamber of Commerce.

The only Catholic applied science high school of its kind in the U.S., Bosco Tech uniquely combines a rigorous college-preparatory program with STEM-based studies to qualified young men of all religious, ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds. Since 1955, The Tech has been preparing young men for advanced post-secondary studies and technology-focused professions. The innovative approach allows students to exceed university admissions requirements while completing extensive integrated coursework in one of six technology and engineering fields, including the newest program, Biological, Medical and Environmental Technology.
Bosco Tech has a college acceptance rate of 100 percent, with the majority of graduates pursuing STEM-related post-secondary majors. More information is available at www.boscotech.edu.
