Volant Announces Major Partnership with the STEM Racing Canada Program to CHAMPION YOUTH ENGINEERING

PARRY SOUND, Ontario - s4story -- Volant Announces Major Partnership with STEM Racing Canada to CHAMPION YOUTH ENGINEERING
EDMONTON, AB — Volant Products, the world leader in casing installation technology, today announced a significant sponsorship into the STEM Racing Canada Program.
A youth engineering program supported by Formula 1® that challenges students to design, manufacture, and race their own powered miniature F1-style race cars.
The partnership will support the expansion of STEM Racing across Alberta, including 10 new student teams competing in the 2026/27 season, while giving students hands-on experience in engineering, design, manufacturing, testing, and performance.
The sponsorship funds the launch of 10 new Alberta-based student teams for the 2026/27 season, covering affiliation fees, equipment, and competition entry costs for students aged 9 to 19 across the province.
Volant is also sponsoring Team Northern Rapids of Strathcona-Tweedsmuir School (Okotoks, AB), which will represent Canada at the STEM Racing World Finals in Singapore, October 3–8, 2026—the pinnacle event of a program that has run for 25 years and now spans more than 60 countries.
For Volant, this partnership reflects a shared commitment to engineering excellence. The hands-on experience students gain in STEM Racing—from CAD/CAM design and digital manufacturing to the thrill of competitive racing—closely aligns with the very processes Volant engineers use to develop and refine well construction technologies. By supporting STEM Racing, Volant is fostering the next generation of engineers who approach challenges with the same rigor, innovation, and workflow that drive its own product development.

"What impresses me most about STEM Racing isn't just the engineering — it's everything else these students have to learn to get a car to the starting line," said Dan Shute, President, CEO, and Co-Founder of Volant Products. "They have to lead a team, pitch sponsors, present their work, and pull it together under a deadline that doesn't move. Along the way they fail, fix it, and get back on track — which might be the most valuable lesson of all. Those are the same skills that make a great engineer, or a great employee, in any industry. That's the same mindset we try to build at Volant — and it's exactly the mindset the next generation of engineers needs."
"This support from Volant is a game-changer for Alberta students," said Kyle Boyko, Principal of the STEM Racing Canada program. "With 10 new teams launching for the 2026/27 season, and Team Northern Rapids representing Alberta on the world stage in Singapore, more youth across the province will gain firsthand experience in the fast-paced world of STEM motorsport." Interested students, educators, parents, supervisors considering forming a team in Alberta through this initiative should email; Kyle@stemracingcanada.ca — Registration for this program begins September 2.2026 and ends October 31.2026. https://www.stemracing.ca/news
