Bountiful Bowl Aims to Raise $50,000 to Support Meals on Wheels of the Greater Lehigh Valley
S For Story/10706666
The fundraiser hopes to provide a month of meals to local homebound seniors.
ALLENTOWN, Pa. - s4story -- Meals on Wheels of the Greater Lehigh Valley (https://mowglv.org/) (MOWGLV) will host its annual Bountiful Bowl fundraiser Saturday, Nov. 7, from 4 to 9 p.m. at B Social, (https://bsocialpa.com/) with a goal of raising $50,000 for the nonprofit's Meal Subsidy Program.
The event will feature a family-friendly bowling session from 4 to 6 p.m., followed by an adults-only evening celebration featuring bowling, food, drinks and table games.
The Meal Subsidy Program helps ensure clients can access nutritious meals regardless of their ability to pay. MOWGLV subsidizes meals for approximately 75% of the clients it serves each day, helping bridge the gap between the cost of providing meals and what clients can afford. Reaching the $50,000 fundraising goal would provide approximately one month of meal subsidies.
"The Meal Subsidy Program sits at the heart of MOWGLV's mission," said Melanie Kohler, chief executive officer of Meals on Wheels of the Greater Lehigh Valley. "Bountiful Bowl brings our community together to help ensure our neighbors have access to nutritious meals and the support they need to remain independent at home."
