SALT LAKE CITY - s4story -- If you live anywhere from Ogden to Provo, the Breathwork Certification in Salt Lake City, Utah is the one you can drive to. Liquid Breathwork runs it Friday, April 30 through Sunday, May 2, 2027, and it is the only Utah date the practice holds next year. Lehi, Draper and Park City need no flight and no hotel. Sugar House and the Avenues sleep in their own beds all weekend.

In the room, you learn to guide a breather down into relaxation instead of pushing toward a peak. It centers on the sigh of relief, using long exhales and intermittent breath holds. Most of the weekend is hands-on. You guide real people, they tell you what landed, and Ryan McBurney and Shelby Von Oepen give you notes while it's fresh.

"We teach every piece of it together, and Shelby's fourteen years of nursing give the whole room an extra layer of clinical safety," said McBurney, who co-founded Liquid Breathwork with her. "Salt Lake City is easy to reach from all over northern Utah. Park City and Ogden are under an hour away, and Provo is about 45 minutes down I-15. If you're flying in from Boise or Denver, it's a short nonstop."

April on the Wasatch means low 60s in the afternoon, low 40s at dawn and the odd snow shower, so pack layers. Spring skiing in the Cottonwoods often runs into late April if you want to make a trip of it.

The days run 9 to 6 with snacks, the group is capped at 20, and the venue is still being settled (everyone enrolled gets the address by email once it is signed). Seats one through five cost $1,997, and seats six through 20 cost $2,497. A $250 deposit reserves your place, and payment plans are available. Your deposit transfers to another training date. Refunds are handled case by case.
