BRONX, N.Y. - s4story -- Community members, cultural advocates, artists, entrepreneurs, and leaders gathered at The Bronx Museum of the Arts for an unforgettable Juneteenth Celebration hosted by Bronx native and entrepreneur Raven Robinson in partnership with The Bronx Museum.

The event was intentionally curated to honor the significance of Juneteenth through culture, education, and community engagement. For Robinson, hosting the celebration in the Bronx was deeply personal.

"As a Bronx native, it was important for me to host this celebration at an institution in the Bronx," said Robinson. "Juneteenth is about remembrance, education, culture, and community. It highlights the importance of educating one another, making our communities aware of information and resources, and ensuring that knowledge is shared across generations. Bringing people together in a space dedicated to creativity, learning, and dialogue felt especially meaningful."

Upon arrival, guests received commemorative wristbands featuring Juneteenth-inspired messages and phrases, creating an interactive experience that encouraged reflection on the holiday's history and significance. Attendees were then invited to enjoy a self-guided tour throughout the museum, exploring exhibitions and artwork before gathering on the second floor for an evening of celebration.

The festivities came alive with music from DJ Ms. Sparks, who curated a vibrant soundtrack featuring Afrobeats and Caribbean music that energized attendees and fostered an atmosphere of joy, connection, and cultural pride.

Guests also enjoyed prosecco and champagne courtesy of Don Luchi, a Black-owned spirits brand, while networking and engaging in meaningful conversations centered on community, empowerment, and collective progress.

The evening concluded with a powerful performance by Senegalese drummers, creating one of the night's most memorable cultural moments. The rhythmic performance connected attendees to the rich traditions of the African diaspora and served as a moving reminder of the resilience, history, and enduring legacy celebrated during Juneteenth.

Throughout the evening, attendees reflected on the importance of preserving culture, supporting Black-owned businesses, sharing resources, and strengthening community connections. The event successfully created a space where education and celebration intersected, allowing guests to honor the past while envisioning a stronger future.
