MIAMI - s4story -- Wild Adventure Story Begins in the Wilds of an Asian Jungle
Fate brings together a father who never knew he had a daughter, and a daughter who never knew the identity of her father. When a passenger plane crashes in monsoon weather in the jungles of eastern Myanmar, there are only seven survivors.
Reed Dempsey had hopped a plane in Nepal bound for Delhi and a connecting flight to Thailand. The crash put an end to those travel plans, rendering him unconscious. Of the other survivors, three lifelong girlfriends on college break are also flying to Delhi, and are seated next to Reed in an exit row.
One of the girls sustains internal bleeding in the accident and is carried on a stretcher down the mountainside by other survivors. Along the way, they're met by local soldiers who shoot all the crash victims except for two of the college girls. Samantha and Rebecca run for their lives back up the mountain heading for the crash site. There they meet Reed walking down the mountainside. Buried under rubble, he was previously overlooked.
More on S For Story
The three bond over their survival and their fate. What will they discover about each other, and what will happen on their long trek to Thailand? The only thing for certain is that when crazed soldiers are on your trail, you Run!
David C. Dagley grew up in California and has spent his life traveling the globe. The adventurer now resides on Bali. When he isn't writing his travel blog, he enjoys spending time underwater. He has lived in Nepal, England, Mongolia, and in South East Asia. "I taught English in South Korea for a few winters when I wasn't working in Alaska," he adds. His first three books were Cale Dixon and the Moguk Murders, White Bars, and Women of Cho.
