SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - s4story -- The Women's Orchestra of Arizona (WOA) invites the community to kick off the month of love with a captivating afternoon of music. On Sunday, February 1, 2026, at 3:00 PM, the orchestra will present "Feel the Love," a curated program exploring the many facets of romance—from whimsical infatuation to fiery passion and timeless devotion.

The concert will take place at the North Scottsdale United Methodist Church. This one-hour performance is designed to be accessible and evocative, featuring a blend of beloved classical masterpieces and iconic cinematic scores.

A Journey Through the Heart

The program explores the emotional landscape of love through several legendary works:
  • Classical Devotion: The afternoon opens with Saint-Saëns' La Princesse Jaune Overture, followed by the raw, "rebellious" passion of Bizet's Carmen Suite No. 2.
  • Virtuoso Performance: Acclaimed soloist Ikuko Kanda will join the orchestra for the first movement of Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto, a piece renowned for its ardent spirit and romantic yearning.
  • Cinematic Romance: Fans of the silver screen will enjoy the sweeping themes of John Barry's Somewhere in Time and the haunting, complex melodies of Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera.
