BARRINGTON, R.I. - s4story -- The family of Joseph Clemens announces the celebration of his life, honoring a man whose presence, love, and quiet strength left a lasting imprint on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Joseph Clemens was a devoted husband, loving father, and cherished grandfather whose life was defined by his deep commitment to family. His legacy is one of love, resilience, and connection—values that will continue to live on through the many lives he touched.

He is survived by his loving wife, Traci Stafford-Clemens, a history-making titleholder crowned Mrs. Rhode Island America 2004, becoming the first and only African American woman to hold the title in the state. She went on to make national history as the first visibly pregnant contestant to compete on the nationally televised Mrs. America stage—six months pregnant with twins—demonstrating extraordinary strength, grace, and determination. Traci is also the co-founder of the Mrs. Earth® International and Mrs. USA Earth® pageant organization, a global platform dedicated to empowering women and promoting environmental awareness.

He is also survived by his loving mother, Susan Clemens, and father, Robert Clemens; his siblings, Jean Clemens Worden, Paul Clemens, and Barbara Clemens Celico; his children, Kielly Clemens, Sydney Clemens, Kendall Clemens, and Cassidy Clemens; his stepson, Tyler LaPlaca; and his cherished grandchildren, Aria Pritchett, Adrian Pritchett, and Kingston Carter.

Together, Joseph and Traci built a life rooted in love, perseverance, and purpose. Their journey stands as a testament to unwavering partnership, strength through adversity, and the enduring power of family.

Funeral arrangements are being coordinated through Southcoast Funeral Homes, Ferreira Chapel Location in Fall River, Massachusetts. In accordance with the family's wishes, the viewing and celebration of life Mass will be held privately.
