S For Story/10646847
ST. LOUIS - s4story -- Circus Harmony's new show, Unbound!, is an unfettered look at fairy tales that uses athleticism and allegory to amaze and amuse the audience while teaching some deep life lessons. Get ready for flying beasts, hooping princesses, pole-climbing mermaids, aerial queens, hoop diving hatters, sleeping hand balancers, unicycling townspeople, and more! The show will take place at Circus Harmony inside City Museum at 2pm every Saturday and Sunday in February. The $20 ticket price includes Museum admission.
Circus Harmony is the internationally renowned social circus school located inside of City Museum. Each year they present hundreds of free mini shows in the third floor circus ring at City Museum. Once a year they present a full length show with a story line. This year, it is titled Unbound and will feature their tremendously talented troupe of flying children who range in age from 10 to 20 years old.
Unbound is directed by guest director, Evan Tomlinson Weintraub, whose recent credits include working with Cirque du Soleil and Seven Fingers. Evan notes, "Over the course of my circus career, I have met a good number of performers hailing from Circus Harmony so when Jessica came to me with the possibility to be able to coach and create with them, I knew it wasn't an opportunity I wanted to miss. The school consistently graduates performers of the highest level, sending them to circuses and schools around the world and I feel honored to be able to work with such young talent!"
