Colorado Author Writes a Magical Killer Whale Tale
S For Story/10549715
ESTES PARK, Colo. - s4story -- Colorado author Crissi McDonald released her first fiction novel, "North to Home," earlier this year. Exploring the intersections of where humanity meets nature, this top-rated book has readers enthralled.
When Nolee Burnett moves from Texas to the San Juan Islands, her life changes. So does her reality.
Set in the San Juan Islands of Washington state, the story follows Nolee Burnett when she moves from her native west Texas home to a secluded bay on a small island. The waters of mystery about her neighbor Keet Noland deepen as they fall in love.
Middle-aged Nolee Burnett likes her solitary life by the sea just fine. Divorced after her husband falls in love with someone else, she shakes off the baggage of twenty years of a bad marriage to recreate her life on an island in the San Juan's of Washington state. An adventurer at heart, she is soon interested in Keet Noland, her neighbor and the owner of a whale watching company. A giant killer whale who frequents the waters by her cabin also catches her interest, and soon these three lives are so closely intertwined that it changes them the closer they get to one other.
