Residents are reminded to avoid parking on any streets scheduled for maintenance during work hours. For streets that typically allow parking, 'no parking' signs will be posted at least 24 hours before work begins.
This pavement maintenance is part of the City of Columbia's efforts to improve and maintain its roadways for the safety and convenience of its residents. The Onyx surface treatment is expected to extend the lifespan of these streets, saving the city time and money in future repairs.
The City of Columbia Public Works department urges residents to plan their travel routes accordingly during this time and apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause. The contractor is expected to complete the maintenance by Friday, June 6, weather permitting. For more information or updates on the project, residents can visit the City of Columbia's website or contact the Public Works department.
