PENROSE, CO — For 25 years, Two Sisters Restaurant has been more than a place to eat. It has been where Penrose gathers — after church, after work, and around the table with family and friends.
Founded in 2001, Two Sisters has served generations of Fremont County residents, watching families grow as parents became grandparents and first-time visitors became regulars. In an industry where independent restaurants often struggle to survive, reaching 25 years is a milestone built not just on food, but on community.
"This restaurant exists because of the people who walked through our doors year after year," said the owners of Two Sisters. "This anniversary isn't about us — it's about the community that built this place."
To honor that legacy, Two Sisters is launching a year-long 25th Anniversary celebration designed to give back to the customers and community that have supported the restaurant for a quarter century. The celebration will include:
Rather than focusing on a single anniversary date, the restaurant is using the milestone as an opportunity to reconnect with longtime patrons, welcome new customers, and continue strengthening its role as a local gathering place.

"We want people who haven't been in a while to come back and see what's happening," the owners added. "And we want new visitors to experience why this place has meant so much to so many people for so long."
In addition to in-house celebrations, Two Sisters' 25th anniversary is opening doors for community engagement through local media, radio mentions, church and chamber bulletins, and neighborhood conversations — all centered on a shared local story rather than a sales pitch.
Details on anniversary menu items, events, and weekly celebrations will be announced throughout the year on the restaurant's website and social media pages.
Community members and visitors alike are invited to join in celebrating 25 years of food, music, and connection — and to help write the next chapter of a Penrose institution.
