JAMAICA, N.Y. - s4story -- When you get over 150 women in a room for two days who are Boss ladies and Boss Moms to learn how to level up their professional and personal life, it is a "Grand Slam" of a Conference.  Marsha Guerrier, CEO of the Women On The Rise NY network did it again, her 6^th Annual Women On the Rise Forum and Expo that took place Oct. 18 & 19th at the NYC LaGuardia Hotel had Expert and Celebrity Speakers from all walks of life and traveled from all over teaching and sharing testimonies about their lives as business owners and what tools and tips they used to get to where they got to in life. This year's theme was "Beyond the 9 to 5" and Marsha's vision was for each attendee to "embrace the idea that (they) can achieve more than (they) ever believed (they) can outside of the working a 9 to 5."  The sponsors of the event really made Marsha's dream come to reality PillarToPost Home Inspectors, NationalGrid, QEDC, 3Ten, Find Your Purpose w/ Terryl Ebony and The Nourish Spot.

The first day of the Conference was the VIP Mastermind Day.  This full day was all about the (4) four "M's" 'Mindset; Money; Marketing & Media'.  Marsha carefully choose experts in the fields of business coaching, Intellectual property, financial management, marketing, social media, email marketing and media to talk about key steps that each attendee can use for their business.  Each attendee received a "VIP Mastermind Workbook" which had numerous steps to follow and fill out on the four M's.  This was a "hands on", walking away with content and "homework" to better your business.

The next day was filled with expert speakers and panelist who walk the walk in their industry and told all.  Throughout the day was a full range of small business Female Founders Market place with products and services. The morning sessions started out with the Founder Marsha Guerrier talking about how to scale your business with a business coach followed by how Self Love Drives success and a panel discussion that many in the room was able to relate to MomBoss Money Moves.  The Featured speaker for the morning was Global Keynote speaker, bestselling author and Entrepreneur Ramon Ray on building a community and strong personal brand.  The Afternoon session kicked off with the "Rise Panel" Soaring Beyond the 9-5 Bestselling Authors presented by Marsha Guerrier which gave each author the opportunity to briefly talk about their journey working their 9 to 5 and beyond.  Proceeds from the book sales went to the Queens Dress for Success program.  The remaining of the afternoon was filled with more panelists that elated the room with their stories and knowledge about working a business and their personal stories; for some it made them warriors such as Dorinda Walker a Change Agent/Visionary and CEO of Cultural Solutions Group, Cathleen Meredith Founder of FATGIRLSDANCE to name just a few.  This year was the first year Women on the Rise Forum introduced a Kidpreneur day!  This was an all day of activities and events for kids to meet new kids and put on paper their dreams about being an entrepreneur!  Each child presented at the end of the day their plan of action for their business plan.  The focus was also on the four (4) M's Mindset, Money, Marketing and Media.

To end the day off right, Women On the Rise Network honors women who have made tremendous contributions toward their communities and industries.  This year Eleven Women were honored six women received the Women On the Rise Women of Distinction and five women received the Women on the Rise awards.  The Women of Distinction awards included Dr. Roxanne Simone Lord Marcell, Yadlynd Cherbin, Deidre Helberg, Erika Hill, Kathleen McGuiness, Jacqueline Gathers.  The Women on the Rise Honorees included Natasha Leath, Nicole Williams, Valencia Clay, Verdel Jones, Jovana Jenkins-Gilkes.

At the conference, Marsha Guerrier made a huge announcement that enhanced the whole dynamics of what her mission is all about.  She created another brand of Women On the Rise NY Inc. called HerSuiteSpotTM.  HerSuiteSpotTM empowers multicultural women entrepreneurs to build successful businesses by providing courses, coaching and networking opportunities to strengthen their economic success.  She wants to support One Thousand (1000) women in 2020 to find their SuiteSpot in entrepreneurship.
