BOERNE, Texas - s4story -- ConRoca Publishing announced Wednesday that best-selling author, David Martin Anderson, has joined forces with the Texas-based publisher and Amazon.com (KDP Direct Publishing) for the release of the sequel to Anderson's prize winning novel THE LAST GOOD HORSE. The sequel, titled BEATY BUTTE, is the second in the 'Billy Bartell Series,' a collection of historical fiction stories exposing the demise of America's last mustang herds during the 1930s, 40s, and early 1950s. The action for this latest novel is southern Oregon near the town of Adel; the stylistic genre is modern-day western. Both novels in this series were named finalists in the coveted Faulkner-Wisdom Literary Award for fiction.
