This March, the city's rapidly expanding music ecosystem will take a historic step onto the national stage as Detroit earns its first-ever Official Artist Showcase at the South by Southwest (SXSW) Music Conference in Austin, Texas. The moment represents more than a concert; it signals national recognition of Detroit's re-established hip-hop and music economy — a movement powered by independent artists, grassroots infrastructure, and a culture built on authenticity and ownership.
On Monday, March 16th at 8:00pm Detroit 313 Selects will transform Austin's premier live music venue RIVIERE , [1501 E 7th St, Austin, TX 78702] into a showcase of the sound currently reshaping hip-hop from the Midwest outward.
