"We really look forward to attending ACES every year," says Kristen Tate, EFA Events chairperson. "It's a great conference, full of valuable content and also a wonderful chance to socialize and spend time with colleagues. We look forward to meeting new faces and catching up with old friends."
Since the first ACES conference in 1997, editorial professionals have been gathering to network and learn from industry experts. ACES speakers and panelists provide skill-building opportunities, expert insight, and information on trends in language, grammar, style, and usage.
Both the Editorial Freelancers Association and the American Copy Editors Society are committed to upholding professional standards and building skills and knowledge among their membership. In addition to conferences such as this one, the EFA and ACES offer classes, discussion groups, lectures and professional resources to both members and the general public.
Founded in 1970, the EFA is a national nonprofit professional organization with approximately 3,000 members, including writers, editors, copy editors, proofreaders, indexers, translators and others who work in publishing, communications and related fields.
