Family Promise of Gwinnett Calls Gwinnett County to Give Up One Night
S For Story/10699305
LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - s4story -- Tonight, children in Gwinnett County will fall asleep without a safe place to call home.
That's not a statistic. That's someone's child.
Family Promise of Gwinnett is launching Night Without a Bed, a community-wide movement calling individuals, students, faith communities, and organizations to spend one night without the comfort of their bed, and in doing so, raise awareness and funds for local families experiencing homelessness.
This is more than a fundraiser. It's a declaration that this community refuses to look away.
"Community is greater than crisis," said Carol Love, Executive Director of Family Promise of Gwinnett. "When a family faces homelessness, a caring community can make all the difference. Night Without a Bed empowers people of all ages to raise awareness, take action, and help ensure that every child and family has the support they need to thrive."
Throughout August, participants can host sleep-outs, awareness events, fundraising challenges, and educational activities — as individuals or as a group. Church groups, school clubs, student leadership organizations, civic groups, sports teams, scouts, and community members are all invited to join.

Every dollar raised supports Family Promise of Gwinnett's shelter, housing solutions, case management, mentoring, and stabilization programs for families working their way from crisis to independence.
Registration is open now for August participation.
To register your group or learn more, contact Andrea McMahon at AMcMahon@FamilyPromiseGwinnett.org or 678-376-8950.
One night. Real impact. Let's move.
Together, we can ensure that every child has a safe place to sleep and every family has hope for a brighter future.
