For Joe and Tom, opening The Glass Guru of West Portland represents more than starting a new business. It is the realization of a goal they have shared for nearly a decade.

The father-son team spent more than a year exploring different opportunities before deciding that The Glass Guru was the right fit. With both Joe and Tom coming from careers in technology, they were looking for an opportunity that would allow them to build something together while serving the community they call home.

"Not only am I excited about our future serving the Portland community, but I am extremely fortunate to have the privilege of working with my son," said Joe Ruble.

For Tom, the opportunity represents the chance to pursue a longtime personal goal while continuing to build his life in the Portland area. A graduate of the University of Oregon, Tom has longstanding ties to the community and is excited about the opportunity to serve local homeowners and businesses.
