GAHLC Ushers in New Leadership and World Cup Momentum Following 222nd Anniversary of Haitian Independence
ATLANTA - s4story -- The Georgia Haitian Leadership Coalition (GAHLC) today announced a strategic leadership transition designed to strengthen its governance and commitment to the Haitian community in Georgia, leveraging the momentum of Haitian Independence Day and the nation's return to the global football stage.
The Coalition is formally announcing the election of Ms. Lydia Pierre to the role of Chairwoman-Elect, marking a pivotal step in the organization's governance evolution. Ms. Pierre will undertake a rigorous 90-day transition period, working in tandem with the current Chairman, Dr. JB Beaufils.
This collaboration ensures continuity and shared purpose as the GAHLC enters a new phase of governance. Ms. Pierre is set to assume the full mantle of Chairwoman around the beginning of April 2026, where her primary role will be to ensure the board sets the organization's strategic direction and fulfills its governance duties,.

The transition reinforces the Coalition's commitment to strategic leadership and community advancement. Dr. Beaufils, who currently serves as Chairperson, affirmed the choice, noting Ms. Pierre's capabilities:
