Go Cedar Valley opens nominations for three small business gifts
S For Story/10704653
A free website, an online business review and a year of SEO work will go to three Cedar Valley businesses
WATERLOO, Iowa - s4story -- Know a local business owner who could use a hand online? Josh Race, a web designer in Waterloo, is giving his time and work to three Cedar Valley businesses through Go Cedar Valley. Neighbors can nominate a business, and owners can enter their own, through November 15.
One business will receive a new website or a redesign, including free hosting and a year of support. Another will receive a detailed review of its website, Google presence and the steps customers take to contact it or buy, with a personal walkthrough and a plan for what to improve. A third will receive 12 months of SEO work to help customers find it on Google.
Josh will handle the agreed work and cover the gift costs. There is no required purchase or obligation to hire him afterward. The website recipient owns the finished site and files.
The giveaway is open to eligible independently owned businesses in Black Hawk, Bremer, Buchanan, Butler, Chickasaw and Grundy counties. Businesses do not need a storefront or an existing website.
More on S For Story
To nominate, share the business name, town and a short reason, along with your own name and email. A nomination is enough; the owner does not need to fill out another application. Nominations close November 15, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Central Time.
Josh will begin selecting potential recipients November 20 based on need, how useful the gift would be and whether the work can be delivered. Nominations are not votes, and this is not a random drawing. He will contact potential recipients privately before making final awards.
Nominate a business, enter your own or read the full rules at https://www.gocedarvalley.com/neighbors. Recipients are responsible for any applicable taxes, and search rankings or business results are not guaranteed.
