Eight Week Training Course on Entertainment Festival Production and Venue Operation
BATON ROUGE, La. - s4story -- Henry Turner Jr.'s Listening Room Museum is pleased to announce an eight week paid internship program.
The opportunity includes real world experience to gain hands-on training in live music, venue management, broadcasting and festival operations and to work directly with industry professionals. It also will build connections with musicians, publicists and event organizers through professional networking. It develops skills in event logistics, technical production, marketing and communications through mentorship and help you gain exposure to the music and entertainment industries by participation in planning and execution of the Baton Rouge Soul Food Festival. Accepted candidates will also complete a capstone project and receive a letter of recommendation.

The internship program includes learning about festival production, i.e. stage setup and hospitality, press, publicity and promotion, talent booking, calendar and social media postings. Venue operations at Henry Turner Jr.'s Listening Room , i.e.safety, inventory, reconciliations, band setups, hospitality, talent release forms and song lists for "Henry's Listening Room" television show.
Requirements are transportation and a valid driver license, computer, knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Google. Must be over eighteen and should be available for four hours a day for a twenty-hour week. Times are flexible. For more information log on to https://www.htjmuseum.org or call 225-802-9681. Applications are open until February 18 and must include a resume and information on why they are interested in participating.
