Holiday Kick-Off: Small Business Weekend Downtown Downers Grove

DOWNERS GROVE, Ill. - s4story -- Join Downtown Downers Grove for Small Business Weekend, November 29-December 1, 2024. The weekend events kick-off with the Village of Downers Grove Tree Lighting Ceremony at 4:30 pm, November 29th. Santa will help illuminate the tree, kicking-off the festive season in Downtown Downers Grove.
Do not miss your chance to vote for your favorite Holiday Window displays among the participating businesses downtown. 20 of our downtown businesses have entered our Holiday Window Contest. Make sure to vote for your favorite in all 3 categories, Traditional, Best use of product, and most original. Voting runs through December 8, 2024!
While enjoying the downtown, look for the Gingerbread Man in participating business windows. Kids completing the hunt can redeem their hunt form for a prize, while adults can email a picture of the completed form to info@downtowndg.org for a chance to win a downtown D.G. gift card.
Santa will be in his Gingerbread House for complimentary visits on Saturdays and Sundays, November 30-December 22, 2024, 1-4 pm.

Sunday, December 1, 1-4 pm, enjoy a complimentary horse-drawn wagon ride through downtown Downers Grove. Boarding will be in front of 1028 Curtiss Street.
Enjoy strolling carolers from a variety of community groups all weekend. They will be here Saturdays and Sundays, through December 22nd.
Snap a photo with one of our wonderful, oversized holiday decorations. Tag Downtown Downers Grove on Facebook or Instagram and you could be entered in to our weekly drawing for a downtown Downers Grove gift card .
As you shop and dine downtown, save your receipts! Spend a total of $100 or more at three or more participating businesses and earn $10 in Candy Cane Cash Rewards – our thank you for supporting local this season.
This is the perfect chance to discover unique gifts, pamper yourself at a salon or barber, or unwind at one of our restaurants. Small Business Weekend is a reminder that when you shop local, you're supporting businesses that contribute to your community in meaningful ways—whether it's backing local schools, sports teams, or creating jobs for your neighbors.
