I Holland Launches iNSPECT 3.0 Rotary Imaging System (IRIS)
S For Story/10696147
LONG EATON, U.K. - s4story -- I Holland has announced the launch of iNSPECT 3.0 IRIS, the latest addition to its Assess range in their PharmaCare® 7-Step Maintenance Programme, delivering an advanced solution for tablet compression tooling inspection.
With 360-degree oblique and direct viewing, the system enables comprehensive inspection of punch and die surfaces. Designed to support proactive maintenance and improve defect detection, IRIS combines high-performance imaging, adaptive illumination and enhanced rotary viewing capabilities to help users identify wear, damage and contamination with greater confidence. Effective inspection is essential to maintaining tablet quality, reducing downtime and extending tooling life. IRIS is compatible with the new iNSPECT 3.0 digital microscope.
At its core, iNSPECT 3.0 features 4K ultra-high-definition imaging with HDR technology, delivering exceptional clarity, improved detail capture and enhanced visibility on reflective surfaces. A 20:1 optical zoom enables seamless switching between overview and detailed inspection, while auto-detect bayonet lenses simplify setup through automatic magnification and calibration adjustments. Adaptive illumination, including quadrant ring, UV, panel and substage lighting, ensures defects, textures and contaminants can be identified across complex tooling geometries. Adjustable lighting angles further enhance visibility on curved and intricate surfaces.

Image capture and export options (JPEG, PNG, TIFF), alongside HDMI and PC connectivity, support easy documentation and integration into maintenance workflows. Three customisable inspection presets enable fast, repeatable routines, improving consistency and reducing setup time across teams.
Rob Blanchard, Research Development & QS Manager, says: The introduction of the iNSPECT 3.0 and IRIS into the PharmaCare® range of products will help our customers inspect their tablet compression tooling to a level previously not possible. This increased visual inspection capability will help solid dose manufacturers identify damage on tooling and tablet defects reducing the costly production interruptions.
For customers who do not require the advanced rotary viewing functionality offered by IRIS, I Holland offers iNSPECT 3.0, delivering the same reliable and effective tooling inspection for everyday maintenance requirements but without the rotary inspection device.
