"A recipe of something different" (contemporary technique) is a result of Qais's move from Iraq to the United States. "This recipe is a desire to create a dialogue between people and a sense of "oneness." Art is a universal language, and Qais's works of art support the world in understanding cultures by opening our minds to new ideas and invoking dialogues. Bridges in Qais's techniques begin as expressionist and evolve into abstract as a result of molding a new path. Qais's artwork blends a distinct combination of Eastern culture with Western modern art. It is through Mesopotamian stories (which "inspired some of the most important developments in human history and cradled some of the world's earliest civilizations") that Qais has interpreted contemporary ways on canvas.
