How a Revize Website Transformed the Online Experience for City Staff and Residents
S For Story/10672173
CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - s4story -- In collaboration with Revize, the Government Website Experts, the City of Charles Town, WV, has elevated its online presence to benefit both city staff and residents. The custom-built Charles Town website redesign launched last year, and it has proven to be more than just a visual upgrade. The user-friendly digital platform is an essential tool for modern city operations and community engagement.
Known for its "Historically Hip" downtown and deep-rooted Washington family legacy, Charles Town now boasts a website that embodies its unique personality. Cindy Rezmer, Operations Director, expressed, "The website has a stunning first impression that really captures our 'Historically Hip' vibe. We are trying to create an engaging and vibrant community, especially downtown and the initial visual of the website showcases that by being inviting and beautiful." Thanks to the award-winning team of Revize designers, the Charles Town site brings the spirit of the city to life.

Since the launch, feedback from staff and residents has been overwhelmingly positive. City staff have found the Revize CMS intuitive and easy to maintain, which has helped the city keep the content current and services accessible. "City staff is thrilled at how easy the website is to navigate, customize, and keep up to date," said Rezmer. "Citizens can easily find everything they need."
A huge improvement has been the reduction of phone calls and office visits, lessening the workload for the Charles Town staff. Rezmer shared, "The website has given the staff a great resource to provide to citizens, and now, citizens can easily get to all the different services they need; for example, making payments online. The website makes it easy to get to the right links for different payments which saves citizens a trip to City Hall and saves time for our staff."
Charles Town also praised Revize's post-launch support and dedication to digital accessibility. "The website is so easy to use that we haven't needed much technical support, but when we do, they are very responsive and helpful." According to Rezmer, "The website offers so many more features for accessibility than we even knew about! Revize ensures our site is consistent."
