ILTexas Schools Honor Veterans with Moving Ceremony in the Colony Ridge Community

Students and staff from ILTexas MSG Ramirez K-8 and Liberty High School commemorate Veterans Day 2025 with music, gratitude, and unity
CLEVELAND, Texas - s4story -- Across the nation, Veterans Day serves as a time to honor the men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces — those whose courage, sacrifice, and dedication protect the freedoms Americans hold dear. This year, the Colony Ridge community proudly joined in that spirit of gratitude as students and staff from International Leadership of Texas (ILTexas) schools came together to pay tribute to local veterans.
Hosted at ILTexas MSG Ramirez K-8, the ceremony was held inside the school's gymnasium and brought together students, educators, families, and community members for a heartfelt morning of remembrance and celebration. The event was attended by students and faculty from both ILTexas MSG Ramirez K-8 and ILTexas Liberty High School, a new campus currently under construction and scheduled to open in 2026.

The program began with an uplifting performance of "Hero's March" by composer Michael Sweeney, performed by the MSG Ramirez K-8 Band. The song set a proud and reflective tone for the ceremony, honoring the bravery and service of veterans across generations.
The school's ROTC students participated in full uniform, standing as a living example of leadership, discipline, and commitment — values that mirror the service of the heroes being honored. Their presence was followed by a moving rendition of "God Bless America," performed by the MSG Ramirez K-8 Choir, filling the gym with a sense of unity and patriotic pride.
Another powerful moment came from the MSG Ramirez K-8 and Liberty High School Orchestra, which performed "Amazing Grace" by J. Cameron Law, a musical tribute to those who gave their lives in service. The performance reflected both solemn remembrance and enduring hope.

The ceremony concluded with a stirring performance of the National Anthem, played by the Liberty High School Band, reminding everyone in attendance of the shared respect, freedom, and gratitude that bind the community together.
Members of the Colony Ridge team attended the event and joined families, students, and staff in paying tribute to the veterans who have served our country. Their participation reflected the community's ongoing appreciation for the schools that continue to shape young leaders with strong values of respect, service, and citizenship.
Events like these remind us that honoring our veterans is not only about looking back — it's about inspiring the next generation to uphold the same principles of courage, unity, and service that have built this nation.
