Community celebration features authentic cuisine, cultural performances and artisan shopping
FORT MYERS, Fla. - s4story -- The India Association of Fort Myers will host its 35th annual India Fest on Saturday, March 14, inviting the community to experience the color, flavor and energy of India during a vibrant daylong celebration of culture and tradition.
Held from noon to 8 p.m. at the Alliance for the Arts in Fort Myers, this year's "Royal India" theme draws inspiration from centuries of Indian kings and empires whose influence shaped the nation's architecture, art, jewelry and cultural traditions. From grand palaces and fortified castles to courtly dance, music and craftsmanship, this year's theme honors a regal legacy that continues to resonate in modern India. In line with the theme, festival attendees can enjoy authentic Indian cuisine and drinks, artisan shopping, fashion and jewelry, cultural performances, live entertainment, a DJ and dancing, a fashion show, and a henna beauty bar.
