NORFOLK, Mass. - s4story -- Kevin Kalkut, a long-time community leader, advocate, and current chair of the Norfolk Select Board has announced his candidacy for State Representative in the 9th Norfolk District in Massachusetts as a Democrat in 2024.

Kalkut brings a strong commitment to public service and a wealth of experience working at the intersection of business and community development. With a background in sustainable and responsible business practices that support local communities, small business owners, and entrepreneurs, Kalkut is uniquely positioned to understand the needs and priorities of the people he hopes to serve.

"In municipal government, there is only one measure of success—getting things done. Whether it's through building consensus within the community, listening to oppositional perspectives, or finding the middle ground where none readily exists, I believe that delivering for your community is more than essential, it is a requirement," said Kalkut. "We need that local mentality paired with the drive to deliver tangible results with full-time representation for this district on Beacon Hill. I have spent nearly a decade building that experience locally, fostering those partnerships across the district, and expanding that network within our state legislature to best position the 9th Norfolk for long-overdue success."
