As Chairperson, Marquard will work closely with Layercake's executive team to shape strategic direction, support international growth and guide the company's evolving partnership and commercial strategy. Throughout his career, Marquard has led and advised on significant media rights and distribution deals, including long-term partnerships with Optus across the English Premier League and major FIFA and UEFA competitions. He has also played key advisory roles with the Nine Network and global streaming and media platforms, as well as advising and leading digital transformation initiatives for numerous sporting bodies.
