SAVANNAH, Ga. - s4story -- SYLVANIA, GA — Screven County native Luhshawn (Jayshon Morris) has just released his new debut project, Coming Up, marking his official entrance into the regional hip-hop landscape.
The 16-year-old artist has been writing and building his sound behind closed doors since age 13. Coming Up delivers an 8-track snapshot of life, ambition, and small-town reality in rural Southeast Georgia, driven by heavy Southern production and melodic street flows.
"I spent three years taking music seriously behind the scenes before putting anything out," Luhshawn said. "Where I'm from, you don't get a lot of opportunities handed to you. You have to build it yourself. Coming Up is just the first step of showing what I can do."
The 8-track tape features standout cuts like "Faded," "Go Hard," and "Miami Girl," showcasing a range from aggressive trap anthems to melodic storytelling. Alongside the new project, Luhshawn's catalog includes standalone singles "YBS GOT DAT," "Sirens," and "Chain GNG," which have already begun picking up traction across local streaming playlists and social media.
