Martin Marbles Misadventures:
A Magical Adventure Born from Family, Poems, Perseverance, and Imagination
This isn't just the tale of a mischievous marble—it's a story of family, creativity, and
resilience. What began as a bedtime rhyme has grown into a joyful children's series: Martin
Marbles Misadventures: Volume 1 — Lost and Found, The Cat's Meow, and A Day at School
by Mister J, featuring artwork by his twin sons, Austin and Tyson.
Long before Martin tumbled through classrooms and dodged kitties, these rhymes helped
the twins learn to read. First shared in 2014 with a local "learn to read" program and later
covered by InsideHalton, the stories have now grown into a series.
Three more volumes are planned, each with Austin and Tyson's drawings—capturing their

creativity while navigating learning challenges. These illustrations now complete the stories,
making them ready for families and classrooms everywhere.
Mister J shares: "Watching my sons grow with these stories, seeing them light up as they
learned to read and add pictures to my poems, has been incredible. The books celebrate
imagination, literacy, and the joy of storytelling.

In Lost and Found, Cat's Meow, and A Day at School, children follow a bouncy yellow
marble through mischief and fun—bringing giggles, lessons, and inspiration.
Local Launch & Author Read-Aloud:
Oakville, where these poems first began, will host the official launch of Martin Marbles
Misadventures. Families, educators, and young readers are invited to join Mister J and his
sons for a celebration of literacy, art, and storytelling.
