Men's Health Network Launches "My Cancer, My Plan" Podcast on World Cancer Day

New series addresses gaps in men's cancer education, biomarker testing, and patient advocacy
VIENNA, Va. - s4story -- In recognition of World Cancer Day, Men's Health Network today announced the launch of the My Cancer, My Plan Podcast, a new six-episode series designed to help men better understand their cancer diagnosis, treatment options, and survivorship.
Men account for a disproportionate share of cancer deaths in the United States and are less likely to seek timely care, ask questions, or receive advanced diagnostics such as biomarker and genetic testing. Many men report feeling overwhelmed and underinformed immediately after diagnosis, when treatment decisions are often made quickly and carry long-term consequences.
The My Cancer, My Plan Podcast responds to these gaps with practical, patient-centered conversations that empower men to ask better questions, make informed decisions, and take an active role in their care.
A Men's Health Network podcast hosted by "Men's Health Mike," Mike Leventhal, the series features cancer patients, oncologists, researchers, and national experts discussing precision medicine, biomarker testing, mental health, survivorship, caregiver support, and navigating cancer as a man.

"Too many men are diagnosed with cancer and immediately expected to make complex decisions without clear, trusted guidance," said Leventhal. "This podcast is about slowing that moment down and giving men the confidence to understand their options and advocate for themselves."
Built from the My Cancer, My Plan digital guide and website, the podcast emphasizes accessible, plain-language education, including the growing role of biomarker and genetic testing in personalizing cancer care.
Season one includes six episodes covering patient advocacy, biomarker testing, treatment side effects, cancer equity, caregiver support, and navigating clinical trials and tough treatment decisions. Featured guests include leaders from Pfizer, the American Cancer Society, Tennessee Oncology, Winship Cancer Institute at Emory University, and national patient advocacy organizations.
The My Cancer, My Plan Podcast is sponsored by Pfizer and supports broader efforts to expand men's access to trusted cancer education and personalized care.
The podcast is available on all major podcast platforms and at https://mycancermyplan.com/podcast.
