Metropolis Corp Launches VoiceLake, a Telephony Lakehouse Workload for Microsoft Fabric
S For Story/10702237
New solution eliminates custom ETL work by normalizing multi-vendor call and contact center data directly into Microsoft Fabric and Power BI
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - s4story -- Metropolis Corp, a communications analytics company serving unified communications (UC) and contact center teams worldwide, today announced the launch of VoiceLake, a telephony lakehouse workload built natively for Microsoft Fabric. VoiceLake ingests, normalizes, and streams multi-vendor voice and contact center telemetry directly into Fabric OneLake, giving data engineering and business intelligence teams query-ready telephony data without building or maintaining custom pipelines.
Enterprise telephony data has long been one of the hardest datasets to work with. Call detail records, queue events, and agent metadata are scattered across proprietary formats from PBX and contact-center-as-a-service (CCaaS) vendors, and those schemas shift every time a vendor pushes an update. Data teams have typically absorbed that cost themselves, writing custom API connectors and rebuilding parsing logic each time a system changes.
VoiceLake removes that burden. The workload automatically aggregates and standardizes call logs and agent data from Cisco, Avaya, Webex, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, NICE CXone, Genesys, Five9, RingCentral, and Mitel, delivering a single normalized schema inside a customer's own Fabric environment. From there, BI teams can join telephony data with CRM, ERP, and financial datasets to build their own semantic models, dashboards, and AI applications, without depending on a vendor's pre-built reporting layer.

"Every additional connector is another potential point of failure. By landing normalized call data natively in Fabric, we're removing a whole category of infrastructure our customers used to have to own." - Stephen Burr, Enterprise Data Architect
VoiceLake is aimed squarely at data engineers, BI architects, and Chief Data Officers, distinguishing it from Metropolis's existing Expo XT platform, which delivers ready-made UC analytics dashboards for IT and operations teams. VoiceLake instead hands data teams the raw, normalized telemetry itself, so they retain full control over how it is modeled and used, including feeding structured voice data into large language models, sentiment analysis, and workforce planning algorithms.
VoiceLake is available now on Microsoft Marketplace (AppSource) with a 14-day free trial. Paid plans start at $750 per month. Visit https://www.metropolis.com/voicelake.php to get started.
