SAN DIEGO - s4story -- Originally from St. Louis and now residing in San Diego, Michael began singing at age five, standing on a box in church so the congregation could both see and hear the young child carrying what many described as an "old anointing." He opened shows for Gospel and R&B legends including Rev. James Cleveland, Gerald Albright, Billy Davis Jr., and members of the O'Jays, including the late Bill "Pops" Isles II, his former manager and mentor.
