Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is one of the primary tools MCG's clinicians use with young people. The American Psychological Association recognizes EMDR as an evidence-based treatment for trauma in both children and adults. MCG's clinician working with children and adolescents holds formal EMDR training.

Play therapy is the second core approach at MCG for this population. Children and many adolescents process their inner world through activity, expression, and creative engagement rather than verbal conversation alone.
