OKLAHOMA CITY - s4story -- Mustang Elite Track Club delivered one of the most historic performances in program history at the 2026 OCCTCA Indoor State Championship on February 21, highlighted by a school record, multiple personal bests, and three athletes finishing inside the top seven in the state in the 60-meter hurdles.

• Jonathan McCorvey (Mustang) – 2nd Place – 8.15 (NEW PR & Indoor School Record)
• Kingsley Njifunuh (Mustang) – 4th Place – 8.43
• Zachary Kitchen (Mustang) – 7th Place – 8.62 (NEW PR)

McCorvey's 8.15 shattered the previous Mustang High School indoor record of 8.25 set in 2024 by Aidan Edwards. On the biggest stage of the indoor season, he not only secured a runner-up finish — he rewrote the school record books.

Kitchen also delivered a breakthrough performance, clocking 8.62 to earn a new personal best in championship conditions, proving the depth of Mustang Elite's hurdle squad.
