Volunteer-created short documentary film shares real-life testimonials supporting grieving individuals returning to in-person or remote work, self-owned businesses, healthcare, academic and other settings after loss - offered as a compassionate gift

NEW YORK - s4story -- As Valentine's Day approaches—a time often associated with love and togetherness—many people who are grieving face an added layer of isolation while navigating the return to work or school. In response, MyGriefAngels.org, a public non-profit organization dedicated to supporting individuals through loss, announces the launch of a powerful new short educational documentary "Returning to Work" created entirely by volunteers, offering real-life testimonials from people who have lived this difficult journey.

The newly released video features candid, deeply personal stories from individuals who returned to a wide range of environments after the death of a loved one, including in-person workplaces, remote jobs, healthcare facilities, schools, and self-owned businesses. Participants share how they coped with the emotional weight of grief while managing professional expectations after losing a child, spouse, parent, sibling, or other loved one.

Designed as a compassionate gift for Valentine's Day, the video aims to remind grieving individuals that they are not alone—and that their experiences, struggles, and emotions are valid. "Returning to work after a loss can feel overwhelming, isolating, and even impossible," said a volunteer contributor with MyGriefAngels.org. "This video was created to offer understanding, comfort, and connection—especially during a time of year that can intensify feelings of grief."

The project was produced entirely by volunteers who understand grief firsthand and wanted to give back by sharing stories that are rarely discussed openly. By spotlighting real voices and real experiences, MyGriefAngels.org hopes to foster empathy in workplaces and schools while offering gentle support to those who are grieving.

"Valentine's Day can be especially painful for people who are mourning someone they love," said JD Failde, Executive Director, of My Grief Angels Inc. "This video is our way of holding space for them—acknowledging their loss and offering reassurance as they navigate returning to daily life."
