New Orleans Drink Lab Pours on the Back-to-School Spirits with Booze 101
S For Story/10669876
School spirit meets top-shelf spirits in a hands-on mixology class that swaps textbooks for shakers and pop quizzes for perfect pours. Two nights only: Friday, Sept. 19 at 4 p.m. & Saturday, Sept. 20 at 2 p.m.
NEW ORLEANS - s4story -- Sharpen your pencils and your cocktail skills. It's back-to-school season in New Orleans, and the only thing on the syllabus at Drink Lab is fun. For two nights only this September, guests can enroll in Booze 101: A Lesson in Cocktails, a hands-on, back-to-school mixology class where you'll "study" classic New Orleans drinks, ace a few new tricks, and sip your way to an A+ night out with a playful school-themed twist.
Led by expert mixologists, this interactive experience teaches participants to craft iconic New Orleans cocktails and imaginative new recipes, using fresh ingredients, creative garnishes, and insider tips that will make you the star of any home bar. Think of it as the kind of class where everyone passes... and no one minds a little extra credit.
"Booze 101 is all about taking the intimidation out of cocktail-making and replacing it with laughs, flavor, and a touch of nostalgia," said Camille Whitworth and Sidney Webb, co-owners of New Orleans Drink Lab. "We want people to walk away with great memories, new skills, and the confidence to shake things up at home, kind of like the best school day ever, only with cocktails instead of homework."
