English Teacher Releases Second High-Fantasy Novel in Trilogy
S For Story/10670404
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - s4story -- Jan-Carol Publishing, Inc., of Johnson City, Tennessee, is proud to announce release of The Lost: Valarrai Rising Trilogy Book 2 by Kristen Johnson!
Kristen Johnson lives in Jonesborough, Tennessee, with her husband, daughter, two dogs, and a bunny. She has been a high school teacher for over 20 years, a job she truly loves. Johnson tries to pass her passion for reading and writing on to her students and recently had the amazing experience of discussing her first book, The Forgotten, with her school's high school book club. Readers can connect with her through Instagram @valaraiirising.
In The Lost, thirteen warriors left Helmfirth and Exulias in search of the lost, traveling deep into lands threatened by the dark lord Merilik and his forces. The farther from home they traveled, the deeper in darkness they found themselves, journeying closer and closer to Therende'al's sinister prison. Would they all survive facing the Dreor king's most powerful disciple, as well as his army of orcs, wargs, and the dead? Would they find any of the lost, or would they become lost themselves, victims of Merilik's plans for them? This small band of thirteen dwarves, elves, and humans—races not known for their trust in each other—will need to work together if they have any chance of surviving, and Tarin will need to set aside his hatred of elves if he wants any of his dwarves to return home.

"Kristen Johnson continues the same vivid, gripping fantasy in The Lost that she started with last year's The Forgotten, and I'm one avid fantasy reader who is hooked! An eclectic ensemble of imaginative characters and mythical settings are brought to life by Johnson's engaging prose." — Dylan Roche, author of The Purple Bird
